Cardiovascular Surgery is a medical specialty focused on the surgical treatment of diseases affecting the heart and blood vessels.Key areas include coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, aortic aneurysms, congenital heart defects, and peripheral vascular diseases.
Surgical treatments may involve open-heart surgery, valve repair or replacement, coronary artery bypass grafting, and, in certain cases, minimally invasive (small incision) techniques. The primary goal is to safely restore heart and vascular function, reduce the risk of complications, and improve the patient’s quality of life.
